Mr. A*OK is a Brooklyn based DJ and producer who brings an impeccable instinctual taste for the flavor of now.

His influences include the word “frittatas”, the lazier beams of Lee Perry and the punch you in the faceness of a Project Pat karaoke session.  On a pretty standard day, Mr. A*OK can be found carrying his bicycle around the Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn in a fanny pack and Celtics jersey straight stepping on your sneakers.  Musically, he’s has been described as a hearty mix of dried codfish, egg, and tamarind sauce spread out over a far reaching mix of the best southern rap, baltimore club, regional and international rap/rap/rap club/dance/disco music.

You may be familiar with his now-defunct illegitimate show on WNYU Radio, RADIOK, which focused on the evolution of regional dance music in the US featuring guests such as bounce artists Sissy Nobby and Big Freedia (Queen Diva).  A longtime friend of the label, Mr. A*OK is releasing the first Famous Class Action! Mixtape the Summer of 2010.

Catch him laid out on his couch every December 4th mourning the passing of the late Chad “Pimp C” Butler, ingesting copious amounts of shrimp and pussy, pouring out a little liquor.
